A great attendance at our cybersecurity webinar on December 17, 2024, with participants from all over Europe!
The event included a first part with an intervention of FORGING partner, APRE, who provided some information on the process and how the technologies relating to cybersecurity can be applied and why they seem the most promising. We also enjoyed 3 engaging presentations from different EU experts, who shared valuable insights in enhancing cybersecurity for a more secure and sustainable future:
- Frank Sandelov (CEO of Cardlab)
- Patrice Clemente (Founding partner of CoeurNet)
- Patrick Fabian (Managing partner of Runom)
Here are some key points from the discussion:
- Cybersecurity, protecting data and assets, is not optional but essential and it is the basis of trust and compliance
- All sectors are included (Health, Education, Banking, etc.)
- Cyberthreat is a well identified issue and an EU legislation framework has been set up to address it, with for example the well-established NIS2 Directive and the Cyber Resilience Act entering into force. However, with the technology development evolving very quickly, it is questionable if the legislative and regulative measures are keeping up pace
The video recording is also available here.
We appreciate the involvement and contributions of all the speakers and participants!
