How to stimulate responsible technology driven innovation through policy design and implementation? How to build sustainable R&I projects that respond to societal needs?

Based on the interactive exchange with experts from various background throughout these last three years, the FORGING team has developed a White Paper that aims at answering these questions. It provides recommendations to policy makers on EU, national, regional and local levels and shares lessons learnt also with project owners who would like to build technology-driven R&I projects in a value-sensitive way.

Published on September 2025, the White Paper has been broadly disseminated throughout Europe and is publicly available here.

The recommendations have been presented to an interested public during a “Knowledge sharing online event” on September 26th, 2025 which gathered more than 35 participants. The event also featured two EU experts that shared good practices on their region: Balázs Barta, Managing Director at PBN (Hungary) and Erika Augustinsson, Innovation Strategist at Region Blekinge (Sweden).

Participants had equally the opportunity to learn first hands what other mechanisms and tools FORGING is offering to anyone aiming at building responsible innovation projects.
