- Organ-on-Chip
- Xenobot
Q: Who is giving the keynote speech, and what is the topic?
A: Dr. Bruno Romeira from INL will deliver a keynote speech on InsectNeuroNano during the first day of the workshop.
Q: How will participants engage during the workshop?
A: Participants will work in groups to develop potential use cases for the technologies discussed. These use cases will be shared with all participants, and later, pathways will be developed to streamline the uptake of these technologies by industries.
Q: Do I need specific knowledge or expertise in all the technologies being considered?
A: No, you do not need to be an expert in all the technologies. The workshop encourages collaboration among participants from diverse backgrounds. While familiarity with bio-inspired technologies and smart materials is helpful, the co-creation activities will enable participants to engage, learn, and contribute alongside peers with varying levels of expertise.
Q: What are the benefits of participating in the workshop?
A:
- Exclusive insights: you will receive the latest results from the FORGING project and insights on responsible and sustainable emerging technologies.
- Co-creation opportunity: you will help develop innovative use cases for sustainable technologies.
- Networking: the workshop provides a platform to connect with European experts and practitioners in innovation and technology.
Q: What comes next after the co-creation workshops?
A: We will select one of the use cases developed at the workshop and work with the technology owner of that use case together with relevant stakeholders to develop a technology deployment pathway for that use case. With these technological pathways we will be positioning technologies at their maturity levels, outlining the further developments required for their absorption (e.g., R&D, industry policy, regulatory frameworks, complementary innovations) and broader impact in society. This will help maturing and reflecting over the decision factors affecting the visibility of the technology for others and impact offered by its adoption. Once the pathways are developed, we will showcase them in relevant events, webinars & brokerage activities.
