The FORGING webinar series is coming to an end. On 1st April 2025, we organised our last edition which focused on human machine interaction innovations. It gathered around 18 participants from different EU countries.
The line-up included the following 3 EU experts coming from Denmark, Greece and Spain. They shared best practices and lessons learnt in the field of human machine interaction:
- Franziska Kirstein (R&D Specialist of Blue Ocean Robotics)
- Greg Agriopoulos (Co-founder and CEO of Haptikos)
- Albert Baldo i Canut (CEO of Vaive Logistics)
Here are some key points from the webinar:
- Impact on society of human machine interaction innovations is evident, increasing the human capacity and enhancing the lifestyle.
- Mostly applied to the medical sector but also several other sectors including aerospace, manufacturing, mobility/ logistics.
- A number of challenges were highlighted: in the medical sector, the integration of the robot into the hospitals or the tracking of the healthcare professionals schedule can be quite demanding and in the urban sector sometimes you have to get the permits.
- The user experience, testing and co-creation with them is really important when developing the solutions and understand their needs.
- The environmental impact is also significant when developing these solutions and can be very beneficial for the environment (reducing the energy consumption, reducing CO2 emissions, etc.)
